These tufting tools have been traditionally used in India for generations and are still used today in India as an alternative to the tufting gun in carpet making. They are therefore built to last for a long time. These Hand Tufting Tools are truly authentic. The handles are made of mango wood and are unpainted. The metal is also unpainted but polished. They can rust and must therefore be greased regularly.
The hand tufting tool also called speed tufting tool is slower than the electric tufting gun but much faster than working with a punch needle.
It’s easy to use and a lot of fun to do! Even if you already have an electric tufting gun, it’s nice to vary in length in cut-pile or loop-pile. This makes it easy to make a lot of variety in your carpet or project.
